Mochizuki, Ran (望月蘭)Age:
162 cmDate of Birth:
July 7th, 1991Degree:
「Friendly and Open-Minded
Ran is the kind of person who is pretty easy to befriend and get along with, though she isn't much of a talker (unless it's with people she's already close with) and prefers listening to other people instead which makes her more comfortable around talkative and loud people. She also doesn't really care much about whether a person has a horrible attitude or a bad reputation, as long as she finds them interesting (and as well as entertaining for her).
「A Worrywart and A Pessimist
Her carefree demeanor contradicts the fact that she is actually quite a worrywart and tends to be pessimistic over everything. She's the kind of person who would constantly worry about whether she has made the right choices in life up till now and starts getting depressed over it. But she does her best not to show it in public thinking that she doesn't want to spread any negative vibes to people around her unless she trusts you a lot to the point that she would personally ask for your opinion/consultation. Still, she wouldn't admit that she's a pessimist and would consider it as an insult if someone were to say that she was. She likes to consider herself as a realist instead of a pessimist.
Reliable, quick to take initiative, and trustworthy, she is the kind of person you can depend on when it comes to group works, note taking, and basically keeping things in check. Though because of this, she tends to come off as quite a nagger when when things does not turn out as how she wants or expect it to be. She doesn't really mind being relied on by people, to the extent that some people would use that trait of hers during group work to make her finish it by herself. She won't really care much though and won't even waste her time complaining, since this way they wouldn't be in her way and she would be able to finish the work more quick and effectively without them, resulting in some people thinking that she's quite an arrogant person.Bio:
Mochizuki Ran was born and raised in a relatively normal yet loving family. Her father worked as a businessman for a pretty well-known company and has a stable income which was able to provide the family with all their daily needs, while her mother was just an average housewife. Even though her father comes home late from work and was often being sent for a couple of days or weeks for business trips, they were, without question a close-knit family. At the age of 7, her mother was then pregnant with a second child. The family were overjoyed to hear the news and were looking forward to the day when they would finally become a family of four. But apparently-- her mother, who from the start was already physically weak, passed away from the exhaustion of giving birth to Yuri, Ran's baby sister.
After her mother passed away, Ran and her sister would often be entrusted to the care of her uncle and his family at times when her father had to leave them for work. But as she grew up and became more mature, at the age of 12 Ran realized that she couldn't possibly rely on her uncle all the time and decided to slowly take over the responsibility of doing housework, cooking, and taking care of her sister herself while also concentrating on her studies at school. As a result, having to adapt and get used to her new responsibilities, she barely had time to play or hang out with her fellow classmates and friends at the time she was still in Middle School. Of course, she grew to resent this but at the same time she thought that she didn't really have much of a choice and that it was the right thing for her to do.
During High School, her father, who at that time has become less busy with his job noticed how unhappy her daughter was. Noticing the problem, he told her that she wasn't alone and therefore shouldn't try to bear the whole responsibility all to herself. There is a time and place where it's okay for people to depend on each other a little more, therefore she should try to live life to its fullest and enjoy it, after all, you only live once. After that conversation with her father, she slowly loosen up from her burdens and was able to enjoy her High School life more-- making lots of friends and even participating in school activities she have always been wanting to try but was unable to in the past. Soon after that, she also met Shigure and Akihiko, who then became her closest friends as she slowly grew attached to them despite thinking they were a troublesome bunch at first.
As she finally graduated from High School, she didn't really take much time to decide on what major she wanted to pursue but instead had a hard time looking for the ideal university, which she preferred not to be too far away from where she lived out of worry for her father and sister. Then, she heard about Kamenoko University but quickly hesitated-- since going to that particular university would mean having to live far away from both her father and sister. Knowing her concerns, her father assured her that they would be fine and instead of worrying about them, she should instead worry more about her future and pursue what she really wants to do in life. Having to leave them she was of course sad, but at the same time felt a slight relief knowing that she would only have to take care of herself from now on, giving her a lot more freedom than she used to have-- even though she knew that it might be a little selfish.Club:
